Mom shares ‘sad’ cheese sandwich her husband made for daughter – people call it ‘child abuse’

A father was slammed after his partner shared a picture of the pathetic cheese sandwich he made for their daughter – with some calling the skimpy lunch “child abuse”.
An anonymous woman believed to be living in the UK posted a picture of the pathetic food on reddit.
The image showed a slice of white bread cut in half, topped with some butter and an almost invisible amount of grated cheese.
Below the image, the poster wrote, “This sad cheese sandwich my husband made for our daughter’s lunch today.”
Many of those who responded to the post seemed absolutely amazed at how a parent could prepare such a meager lunch for their child.

A woman shared this image of the ‘sad’ cheese sandwich her husband made for their daughter – leading one commenter to brand it ‘child abuse’.
One simply wrote, ‘This is child abuse.’
Another added: “Really this is crazy.”
A third said: “That’s frankly unacceptable.”
And a fourth forum user chimed in to say, “This is literally worrying.”
A number of respondents felt that the poor sandwich was strategic on the man’s part and that he had made it so horrible that his wife would not ask him to cook her daughter’s lunch again.
One Reddit user wrote: “He’s too stupid to make a sandwich or he’s doing it wrong on purpose. Both scenarios are absolutely not ok.”
Another agreed, writing: “Making a sandwich look so crappy, uneven and unappetizing (like they’ve never seen one before) is 100% intentional or first time done by a kid. This is not a sandwich prepared by a loving, competent adult.’
Another poster added: ‘ He graduated from the Paris Hilton School of Trickry

One horrified Reddit user even went so far as to label the skimpy sandwich “child abuse” for its unsavory nature
‘”If someone ever asks you to do something for them, do it really badly so you never have to do it again.”
And another wrote: “What the hell is wrong with your husband?
“I would really get him to eat it and get him to make her an actual sandwich.
‘Weapon armed incompetence.’
Describing the sandwich as a “4D move,” one Redditor explained, “It’s a 4D move, OP. Do not be fooled! Her husband just doesn’t want to get stuck on the lunch shift and tries to appear as unqualified as possible so as never to be asked to do so again. That’s the only way it makes sense.”

One poster described the sandwich as “disturbed,” while others claimed the husband did a poor job on purpose to avoid being asked to make lunch again
Another added: “Right? Dad making a cheese sandwich probably has 4 different cheeses and is toasted to perfection golden.
Others insulted the husband for his poor cooking skills.
One asked: “Is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or ham and cheese sandwich really that hard for this male kid? He chooses to be incompetent.”
And another wrote: “Not qualified to butter bread let alone pack a whole lunch.”
Meanwhile, another forum user asked, “Even if he’s just stupid, why did you marry a man so stupid he can’t make cheese sandwich?”

One Redditor called the man “stupid” for his flimsy attempt at making sandwiches, while others suggested the woman would give him a taste of his own medicine by giving him a similar snack
Some editors suggested that the wife should give the husband a taste of his own medicine.
One commenter suggested, “She should make him this for lunch for a week lol.”
Another agreed, writing: “You should offer to take him to lunch one afternoon and make yourself something really tasty and recreate this sandwich for him. See how he reacts.
“Better yet, invite all his friends over, make them eat something really tasty, and he has to sit and eat that in front of him. He’ll never live it up.’
And a third said: “Let him make you lunch and all of you daughters. Then swap them when they run out.’
