Oxford United defender Ciaron Brown escaped punishment for challenges against Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of the yellow card that sparked an FA probe into suspicious betting patterns.
Sportsmail exclusively revealed the FA have a dossier of evidence relating to alleged corruption, including alleged phone messages ahead of Monday night’s FA Cup third round kick-off at the Kassam Stadium.
The news claims Brown has been booked into a betting scam that is said to have cost a bookmaker more than £1,600.

One message is said to show a bet slip betting around £200 on Brown being booked at odds of 8-1.
Brown, a 24-year-old Northern Ireland international defender, was booked in the 59th minute for a foul on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah and then delayed the restart.
But twice in the first half, just a few seconds apart, Brown afforded tackles that could have led to a yellow card.

Referee David Coote stops play to allow Saka treatment but does not penalize Brown.
Just before that, Brown appears to have elbowed Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu during an aerial challenge for the ball.
In the 59th minute, Brown received his yellow card for fouling Nketiah and delaying the restart.

It’s unclear how many bets have been placed on Brown being booked and what other bookmakers’ liabilities are, but the FA takes the matter seriously.
