From today’s perspective, the US international is only considering a move to the French side, despite interest from other Premier League clubs.
Mail Sport reported on Wednesday that the Gunners were in talks with the Ligue 1 club and expect a formal offer to be made by the end of the week.
And the deal has made significant progress over the past 24 hours and the deal is now effectively sealed. Some intricacies of the deal are yet to be finalized but Balogun is expected to join Monaco.
The striker, who was successfully loaned to Reims last season, has been training outside the first-team for most of the summer and has been said by Mikel Arteta to be out of his depth. And he is now standing in front of the exit door of the Emirates.
