Matt went on to argue the product is a “cake” because it doesn’t have a “ribbed edge” like a scallop.

Monique sneered back by pointing out that the product “had no frosting” and therefore could not be called a “cake.”

‘It’s fried. What kind of cake is being fried?!’ she argued.

McDonald’s new Potato Scallop is seasoned with classic chicken salt and features a crispy tempura coating and fluffy mash.

Item will be available in restaurants across the country and through McDelivery for a limited time starting Wednesday, January 11th.
