Mum whose 34H boobs caused pain has her boobs down five cup sizes in life-changing £10,000 surgery

  • Victoria Marsh has gone down five cup sizes to 34C after a four-hour surgery
  • Despite being “starved” to meet NHS BMI criteria, Victoria was turned down

A mum paid £10,000 to have surgery to stop her 34H breasts from “pressing down” on her ribs.

Victoria Marsh, from Nuneaton in Warwickshire, lost five cup sizes to C after a four hour operation.

Ms Marsh, 33, suffered from constant pain and was tired of always looking “grubby”. She went to her local GP and applied to the NHS for a breast reduction.

The size of her fortune also made it difficult for her to play with and raise her children, so she desperately wanted the life-changing surgery.

Despite “starving” Ms Marsh to meet NHS weight criteria, which were based on a patient’s body mass index (BMI), she was turned down.

Ms. Marsh, a shopper, said, “I had to have a BMI of 25 or less.” I had starved before and was just under 25 years old. But I got a letter saying I wasn’t able to.

“I wasn’t considered disproportionate enough.”

“I started to feel them pressing on my ribs. I had a lot of physical therapy on my shoulders. I had grooves in it.

“I had constant tight muscles in my neck and infections in the skin under my breasts. I used talcum powder all the time there.’

The folds between the breasts can cause friction and lead to skin damage. The heat and trapped moisture create an ideal environment for bacteria to grow, which can lead to secondary infections.

The mother-of-two used proceeds from a home sale – along with a £3,000 loan – to pay for private surgery at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.

She described the results as follows: “I feel great.” The procedure was really worth it and my quality of life has improved a thousandfold.

“I can do a lot more with the kids.” “I can wear the things I want to wear without feeling embarrassed.”

Ms Marsh has felt insecure since she was 16 and says growing up, people pointed out the size of her breasts.

She said she comes from a “genetically big-breasted family” and has seen the impact on her mother Debbie, 64, and her double-G chest.

For years she had to shell out £50 every time she needed a bra as each bra had to be custom made.

When Ms. Marsh had her two children, she hoped that breastfeeding would solve all her problems.

But instead of her breasts shrinking, they just got bigger.
