MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 delayed

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 will be delayed.

In an official statement released on the Call of Duty Twitter page, Season 2 will now launch on February 15th. It was originally assumed that Season 1 would end on February 1st based on the date the Battle Pass was intended to end.

“Our studio teams have made several changes based on what we’ve heard from our gaming community,” the statement said.

“Season 02 includes all new content, with the return of Resurgence and a brand new small map for Warzone 2.0. Ranked play is also back, coming to MWII, along with new multiplayer maps, new modes, weapons and more.”

Expanding on the post, Infinity Ward, developers behind Modern Warfare 2, said they will be releasing more details about the upcoming Season 2 in a “Deep Dive Studio Blog” next week.

Other changes in Warzone 2 include changes to the Gulag, looting, and equipment.
