The case is somewhat similar to an aspect of the Jason Bourne film series, originally written by British writer Robert Ludlum, about a highly skilled field agent who washes up on the French shore with amnesia.

The mystery man was found by police near the seafront in Weymouth in late September 2022

The man is described as 1.70 meters tall, slim and with an Eastern European accent

The man was found wearing a black motorcycle helmet with no visor and a black leather jacket
Dorset Police Constable Becky Barnes said: “We continued to investigate to try to establish the identity of this man, including contact with Interpol and other partner agencies.
“However, we have still not been able to confirm the identity of this man and he has not been able to tell us who he is or give us any information about where he is from or what family he belongs to.”
Police Officer Richard Symonds of Dorset Police said: “The man has been in the safe care of the Health Services since he was found. Unfortunately, he could neither tell us who he is nor give any information about his place of residence or his family.
“Although officers have conducted a number of inquiries, including reviewing missing persons reports from other police forces, we are no closer to uncovering this information.

The Bourne Identity follows field service officer Jason Bourne who is washed up on a beach with no memory of his memory – and draws parallels with Dorset’s mystery man

Police have worked with Interpol and other agencies to establish the man’s identity

The man, who cannot remember his identity, is now in the care of the local health service
“I hope that by posting a photo of the man, someone can recognize him and help us figure out who he might be.”
The man was found with long, curly brown hair and a brown beard.
He speaks with an Eastern European accent and his native language is believed to be Latvian.
Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to contact Dorset Police or call 101 and quote incident number 55220158012.
