Naoya Inoue knocks out Stephen Fulton in the eighth round to become the dominant foursome of the world champion

Naoya Inoue was in sensational form when he knocked out WBO super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton in the eighth round.

The Japanese puncher clinches his world title in fourth weight and continues to expand his dominance in the lower weight classes.

After a cautious opening game, Inoue started to take control of the fight and pushed Fulton back on the ropes.

Despite gaining weight and being the smaller man, Inoue appeared to be the stronger fighter.

Trying to hide his signature overhand right behind a varied lead hand selection, Inoue began setting up the shot with a solid smack to the body, hoping to drop the American’s hands.

But to his credit, Fulton stayed sane most of the time and stayed solid defensively.

Inoue appeared to be in complete control for five rounds, but in the following two stanzas Fulton started shooting back.

In round seven, Inoue allowed the American to get in front as he tried to land his own counterattacks.

However, this resulted in Fulton finding a home for two massive straights that caught the attention of “The Monster.”

Not wanting to fall victim to the same onslaught, Inoue came back to the lead and landed several malicious shots of his own.
