Newcastle have reportedly made an opening bid for Chelsea left-back Lewis Hall.
As Mail Sport revealed on Tuesday, the Magpies have a growing interest in the Blues’ youth academy and are keen to buy him outright.
According to Sky Sports, the 18-year-old has an agreement in principle on a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Hall was thought to be on the verge of signing a new six-year deal with his boyhood club, only to be loaned to Crystal Palace for the 2023/24 season.
Chelsea value their player at £30m and are believed to be considering the offer from Eddie Howe’s side.

Hall has made 17 first-team appearances for the Blues since his breakthrough season in 2021-22 and was named academy player of the year at the end of last season.
However, head coach Mauricio Pochettino has a stacked deck at the position as Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen are all ahead of the teenager as of today.
Newcastle had previously considered a move from Cucurella to bolster their defenses and rival regular Dan Burn.
The Tyneside club have had a busy transfer window so far after confirming the arrivals of Tino Livramento from Southampton, Harvey Barnes from relegated Leicester and their landmark summer signing Sandro Tonali, who was poached from AC Milan for £52million.
The Italy midfielder made an unforgettable debut and put himself on the scoresheet after scoring one of the five goals the Magpies scored in the 5-1 win at St James’ Park against Aston Villa.
