A newlywed was jailed today after rampaging on a plane with vodka while groping a stewardess and swearing at passengers.

Mohammed Razaq, 29, groped one flight attendant and threatened another that he would “burn her like Guy Fawkes” during Emirates’ 4,500-mile flight from Dubai to Manchester on March 17 last year.

He was jailed for 18 months today after pleading guilty to drunkenness on a plane, racketeering, sexual assault and criminal vandalism at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester.

Razaq, from Burnley, also urged male passengers to “fuck their mothers” during the killing spree after fearing a chilly reception from his family in Britain for marrying a woman they disapproved of in his native Pakistan.

During the nightmarish journey from Dubai, Razaq fondled the stewardess as she bent down to pick up rubbish.

He said to a steward, “Come hit me and I’ll cut off your frigging head” and hit a seat with such force that it bent the headrest and caused 200 pounds of damage.

He also told the plane’s cabin manager, “I’m going to bite off your nose and ears and burn you like Guy Fawkes,” before pulling out an unlit cigarette and harassing other passengers around fires.

He kept asking for more alcohol before eventually passing out in his seat. When the 500-seat plane landed in Manchester, police arrested Razaq.

The hostess, who he groped, said: “It took me some time to feel confident about my next flight. It will take time to forget that feeling.”

Her colleague added: “I can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve had at Emirates in the last seven years.”

Razaq had spent three weeks in Pakistan drinking heavily at the airport out of “mourning” because his parents didn’t like his new bride, the court heard.

Lisa Boocock, Prosecutor, said: “Once on the flight he consumed alcohol at alarming levels until he began visibly swaying in his seat, becoming increasingly intimidating to the passengers around him.

“About three hours into the flight, the cabin crew decided to stop serving him alcohol.

“After that, he tried to get other passengers to get him alcohol, but that was unsuccessful.”
