Odell Beckham Jr. showed off his surgically repaired left knee at a pickup basketball game.

Footage of the informal shootaround was released by TMZ and shows the NFL free agent setting up a taller defender before hitting an impressive layup. He also threw an alley-oop pass from the backboard to set up an easy dunk for a teammate.

He had hoped to sign with a team this season after tearing his cruciate ligament while playing for the Los Angeles Rams in last year’s Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 30-year-old has even had a free-agency tour that has included meetings with the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants, one of his former teams.

ACL injuries typically require about a year of recovery for athletes, so it’s no surprise that in 2022 Beckham struggled to make his mark anywhere. After the season, however, he may see renewed interest when he is likely to be closer to returning to the field.

Beckham has also provided more news away from football in 2022.

His free-agency tour came days after he flew to Miami from a flight to Los Angeles last month after officials said he failed to respond to orders to buckle up and was found to be unconscious. As a result of Beckham’s ejection, the flight was delayed by about 90 minutes, much to the dismay of other passengers.

American Airlines representative Alfredo Garduno confirmed that Flight 1228 bound for Los Angeles returned to the gate before takeoff “because a customer failed to follow crew members’ instructions and refused to fasten their seat belts.”

In Beckham’s defense, his attorney Daniel Davilier released a statement saying the Super Bowl champion was the victim of an “overzealous flight attendant” who wanted to “prove” his authority.
