Nick Kyrgios was capable of the Australian complaining to the chair umpire, smelling marijuana from the crowd, spitting onto the court and flying at his box with a constant series of expletives.

Kyrgios, who faced France’s Benjamin Bonzi in the second round, won the first two sets before showing the first signs of a meltdown in the third set, which he lost 4-6.

The Australian then claimed the fourth set to win the match 7-6(3) 6-4 4-6 6-4 despite continuing to hurl comments at his supporters.

To the shock of the tennis world, Kyrgios complained to the chair umpire during the third set that he could smell marijuana while trying to play; which commentators said they had never heard of.

“It was fucking marajiuana. it was smoke Of course I won’t complain about the food,” Kyrgios could be heard saying over the microphone on the pitch.

“Of course, when athletes run side by side and have asthma, it’s probably not ideal.”

He was then charged with a code violation for abusing his own team and could be seen emitting a huge jet of spit. earn a behavioral warning and disgust fans in the stadium and watch from home.

The wheels really started to loosen before he managed to cling to the win and Channel 9 commentator Todd Woodbridge said it was high time someone got active in his supporter box.

“Eventually the people sitting in his player box have to take action,” Woodbridge said on the show.

“That action should probably be getting up and going out. They have nothing to do with what is happening on the pitch. That’s up to Nick.”

Incredibly, this isn’t the first time Kyrgio’s marijuana claims have caused a stir at the US Open.

Six years ago, he replied to a Twitter follower confirming that players on tour would be allowed to smoke it.

The comment drew the ire of sports doping organization WADA, with a spokesman later confirming that in-competition use of marijuana is indeed banned, although it is not banned out of competition.
