An investigation has been launched into the sudden death of a two-year-old girl at a Queensland property

The police have started investigations after a two-year-old suddenly died on Thursday night.
Detectives from the Mackay Child Protection Investigation Unit are investigating the sudden death of the child in North Mackay.
The deceased child was taken to Mackay Base Hospital around 8.30pm Thursday evening.
It is believed that the hospital’s emergency workers alerted the police to the condition of the toddler.
In a statement, police said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the cause of death.
“The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time,” police said.
