Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Willy Boly has agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest ahead of a move to City Ground, according to Santi Aouna.
The 31-year-old refused to play in Wolves’ 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Sunday and looks set to become Forest’s 19th signing of a busy summer for the newly promoted side.
Boly joined Wolves from Porto in 2018 and has been an integral part of the squad that has developed into an established Premier League side.

However, he cut his playing time at Molineux under Bruno Lage, making just 10 appearances for the club last season. The defender is yet to show that campaign and now feels ready for a new challenge with Steve Cooper’s men.
When Wolves’ Portuguese manager spoke before the name at Molineux yesterday, everyone confirmed Boly’s exit and the reasons why he didn’t want to be part of the matchday squad.
“He has a proposal in hand and wants to leave, that’s my feeling when I talk to him,” said Lage.

“I told him I need a top player like you on the bench and after that he makes his decision. He was in the squad list and he didn’t come.
Boly’s forthcoming move to Forest continues the club’s incredible transfer window, which has seen nearly twenty new faces arrive in Nottingham as they battled for Premier League survival.
The Ivorian will join the likes of Jesse Lingard, Cheikhou Kouyate, Neco Williams, Morgan Gibbs-White, Taiwo Awoniyi and Renan Lodi in Cooper’s squad.
Gibbs-White and Lingard both started Forest’s 2-0 defeat by Tottenham on Sunday and the club are currently 14th in the table ahead of a daunting trip to Manchester City tomorrow night.
