In late August, it was reported that they were reuniting for roles in the third Trolls film Entertainment tonight.
The group, who enjoyed huge success as a five-piece from 1995 to 2004, are set to release a new single for Trolls Band Together, which would be their first song together since 2001’s Girlfriend.
Timberlake was the voice of the character Branch in the first two installments of the franchise films: Trolls (2016) and Trolls World Tour (2020), and he is back again for the new installment, which is expected to be released in November.
The trailer for the animated film offers several references to the NYSYC reunion with Timberlake, including that Branch and his four brothers were said to have been in a group together called BroZone.

Reunion! NSYNC is expected to reunite for roles in the third installment of the Trolls film series, including the release of their first new song together since 2001’s “Girlfriend”; They can be seen in 2002
In the teaser scene, one of the brothers, Floyd (Sivan), is kidnapped, and then John tracks down Dory (André) Branch to reunite the group and rescue her brother.
The dialogue hints at the reunion using clever wordplay and several references to the group and other popular boy bands of the same era.
“Branch, we’re out of sync,” Floyd can be heard saying to his brother in a flashback in the trailer. “We’ve gone from boys to men, and now there’s only one direction for us to go: the backyards.”
Then John Dory’s character chimes in, “Branch, it’s time we find the rest of our brothers and get the band back together,” which leads to all five brothers proclaiming in unison, “Bro Time.”
In addition to Timberlake and the four brothers, the cast also includes Anna Kendrick, Camila Cabello, RuPaul, Amy Schumer, Andrew Rannells and Zosia Mamet.
So far, Universal Pictures has not yet confirmed what role NSYNC will play in the film or whether they will actually contribute a song to the soundtrack.
NSYNC last recorded new material in 2002 before going on an indefinite hiatus. During the hiatus, Timberlake announced his departure from the group in 2004, following the success of his debut solo album Justified.
The group continued as a four-piece without Timberlake until they officially disbanded in 2007.
