The 19-year-old pop star was seen attending a class at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music on Wednesday. One fan shared a photo of her in class with the caption, ‘No way am I in class with Olivia bruh .’

Another image that has surfaced on Rodrigo fansites shows her status at the school as an “undergraduate visitor” with an “unclassified” major.

According to USC, a “visiting student” may enroll in and complete “individual professional or personal development courses without enrolling in a degree program.”

A visiting student is considered a “non-award student” who “pays tuition upfront and receives normal tuition, assessment, and formal outcomes.”

In other words, Rodrigo is not currently pursuing a full degree at USC, merely taking classes to broaden her musical production horizons.

One of the fan sites claimed Rodrigo was taking a “music production class” on campus, although this has yet to be confirmed by the singer or her camp.

Rodrigo returns with USC and the Thornton School of Music, which featured alumni of that school in a live performance of their song “Favorite Crime.”

The USC Marching Band also played their hit song Good For U during football games last season.

She admitted on stage that she was “such a huge fan, and I kind of wrote this next song about you,” before breaking into her hit song Deja Vu, which references Joel and his hit song Uptown Girl for the second verse relates.

Both performed Deja Vu and Uptown Girl together in front of a full house in Manhattan.

Rodrigo’s first album Deja Vu debuted at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 in April 2021, and also peaked at number three on the chart when Sour fell two months later.

Rodrigo wrapped up their tour in support of Sour, which began April 5 in the US, with two shows at the Eventim Apollo in London, England on July 6-7.

Her accolades for Sour included seven Grammy nominations resulting in three wins including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for her song Drivers License.
