The lavish residence on one of the suburb’s best streets was later reduced to between $8.8 million and $9.3 million after demand for properties worth over $10 million fell.
However, the property’s value has doubled in the past decade, with records showing that McLachlan and his wife bought the home in 2012 for $4 million.
The high-end six bedroom home is one of only two homes in the suburb with a tennis court.
The luxurious 1189 sqm property also features a swimming pool, outdoor entertaining area, butler’s pantry, double garage and an open plan living room with bar.

He started in that position in 2014 and planned to retire a few years ago, but agreed to remain in the role when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
The AFL has yet to announce who will replace McLachlan and become the competition’s fourth CEO in the past 26 years.
Leading candidates for the role include legal counsel and AFL executive Andrew Dillon, GWS boss David Matthews and Sydney CEO Tom Harley.
