Paris Hilton says she’s not a dumb blonde

Paris Hilton has “always been good” at pretending to be a “dumb blonde”.

The star said it was just a ploy she used to become famous.

“I was always ahead of my time! Like I said, I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just very good at pretending I’m one,” she said on British show Lorraine.

The 42-year-old socialite rose to worldwide fame in the early 2000s when she starred on the first reality show, The Simple Life, with Nicole Richie.

She played a clueless rich girl on the show and kept the momentum going off-screen as well.

She said it was wise to play dumb: “I was always ahead of my time! Like I said, I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just very good at pretending I’m one,” she said on British show Lorraine

“It was really (groundbreaking), we are the OGs and it was amazing to see so many people inspired by it as we created a new genre of celebrity,” she added of Lorraine.

She also used her goofy blonde image when embarking on a brief career in music.

Seventeen years ago, she released her self-titled album, which included the hit “Stars Are Blind.”

Now she has announced that she is preparing for the release of her second album.

“I’ve always loved music, I’ve played the violin and piano since I was a child,” said the Beverly Hills resident, who wore a long purple lace dress with pink trimmings and beige heels.

“I’ve always loved to sing. I’m in the studio doing my second album so it’s just been amazing,” she remarked.

“I can do anything! I feel like you can be anything, you can be a mom, you can be a businesswoman, you can be an artist, you can do anything!

Meanwhile, the 2021 Hilton hotel heiress tied the knot with 42-year-old entrepreneur Carter Reum and documented the relationship on her reality show Paris In Love before they welcomed their son, Phoenix, in January 2023.

She has said her life feels so “complete” now that she’s become a mother.

The Siren noted, “We’ve been friends for so long but I feel like timing is everything.

“I had such walls around my heart and it wasn’t until I was making my documentary that those walls came down.

“Carter brought them down. But my life feels so complete [since becoming a mom]and I’m so excited for the future and he’s just everything to me.
