Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes suggested Antonio Conte for blaming “the same old B****cks” for his fall as Tottenham boss in a now-deleted post on Instagram.
Spurs finally announced Conte’s exit late Sunday night, with the Italian leaving by ‘mutual agreement’ a week after his amazing outburst following the 3-3 draw at Southampton.
Conte lashed out from all angles during that tirade, accusing his players of collapsing under pressure while highlighting the club’s silverware shortage in recent decades, which he apparently blamed on Levy’s lack of ambition in the transfer market.
Levy and Spurs officials have drawn widespread criticism following his exit, which comes two years after Jose Mourinho was sacked in similar circumstances, leading many to believe the job is becoming a poisoned chalice.
That is the case, however, despite Conte receiving £150m in signings last summer window, £60m of which was spent on Brazil striker Richarlison.

And Scholes, responding to talkSPORT’s coverage of the fall-out on Monday, joked that in unveiling his signings, Conte should have admitted he wasn’t happy with a fiery post on Instagram that has since been deleted.
The United legend wrote of his story: “Here we go @talksport… a manager gets sacked so everyone blames recruitment… and a top notch manager blames lack of ambition.
“Why doesn’t a manager say when he smiles and shakes hands with a player at his press conference: ‘I don’t like this player I think [they] will eventually get me fired “… save the same old b****cks when they get fired or go”.
Sportsmail revealed on Tuesday that Levy was ready to part ways with Conte following his extraordinary attack on the club at St Mary’s, ahead of official confirmation of his departure five days later.
Bayern Munich sacked manager Julian Nagelsmann and former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino are the early frontrunners replacing him in the hot seat.
For now, however, Conte’s No. 2 Cristian Stellini will temporarily take charge until the end of the season, the north London club confirmed on Sunday night.
Conte sent shockwaves through English football when he opened fire on his players and Levy in a sensational press conference.
“They’re used to it here,” he raged after they squandered a two-goal advantage against Southampton. “You’re not playing for anything important. You don’t want to play under pressure. You don’t want to play under stress. It’s easy this way. Tottenham’s story is as follows.

The Man United legend joked Conte should have expressed his displeasure sooner

Conte lashed out at Spurs from multiple angles in his final words as head coach last week
“I said I wanted to see the fire, but I didn’t see it. I said that I want to see the fire in their eyes, in their hearts. I want to see the right spirit. Not only in training, but also on the pitch, because this is where you make the difference.
“So far I’m trying to hide the situation but there are 10 games left and some people think we can fight. Fight for what? With this spirit, this attitude, this commitment? What? For seventh, eighth, 10th place?
“I’m not used to being in this position. I’m really upset and everyone needs to take their responsibilities. Not just the club, the manager and the staff. The players need to be involved in this situation because it is time to change this situation if Tottenham want to change
“If they want to continue like this, they can change managers, many managers, but the situation cannot change. Believe me.’
