And Penelope Cruz made another leggy appearance in a Chanel-inspired black sequin skirt suit at the L’immensita photocall in Madrid on Thursday.

The 48-year-old actress looked stylish in a sparkling bouclé jacket and a matching mini skirt as she posed solo at the chic film event.

Showing off her glamorous fashion sense, Penelope dazzled in her black jacket with gold knotted trim and lots of sequins.

The Oscar winner teamed the top with a matching skirt and gold waistcoat, adding some height to her look with strappy heels.

Penelope completed her outfit with a black chain-strap handbag and waved happily at the cameras as she headed to the Spanish film premiere.

The film sees the actress end up in a psychiatric facility, and during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Penelope spoke about the realities of domestic violence.

“I don’t think my character is crazy,” Cruz said, according to Variety.

“She is trapped in her family. Trapped in her home, in her body. In the situation she is in, lives. She has no plan B. There is no escape,” she added.

“She’s not crazy at all. It is suppressed in many different ways. And she just can’t take it anymore.

“There are many women around the world trapped in their homes pretending to their children. They try to pretend things aren’t that bad. They do this to survive.”

Penélope has changed her approach to acting since having two children – son Leonardo, 11; and daughter Luna, eight, with her husband of nearly 12 years, Oscar winner Javier Bardem.

Speaking to Spanish Vogue, the star said: “Your life changes a lot when you become a mother, much more so than with any project.”

She added: “I used to think that the more I suffered, the better the performance would be.”

“But once I had my kids, I decided to work more with my imagination and less force something from my real life. In my 20s or in my 30s before I became a mother, I pushed my personal traumatic experiences a little bit.

“Well I feel like that doesn’t necessarily make the outcome any better – but it does make your life healthier to separate fiction and reality.”
