Pirelli Calendar 2024: Naomi Campbell makes her FIFTH appearance in the annual shoot as she poses alongside Idris Elba and Angela Bassett for the Timelessness shoot in London and Ghana

The much-anticipated Pirelli calendar has been unveiled, with Naomi Campbell, Idris Elba, Angela Bassett and Amanda Gorman at the helm.

Captured by self-taught visual artist Prince Gyasi, the shoot took place in both London and Ghana, the photographer’s hometown, and focuses on the calendar’s theme with a focus on ‘timelessness’.

Naomi, 53, looked incredible and stunning in a shot that focused on her endless legs while posing in a studio.

The performance marks her fifth appearance on the legendary calendar, having previously appeared alongside a host of other stars in 1987, 1995, 2005 and 2018. She caused a stir with her performance in 1987 when she was just 16 years old and went topless for the filming.

Other talents featured in the 2024 Pirelli calendar include King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the calendar for the year celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Ashanti Kingdom with the reign of King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

First released in 1964, the calendar caused a stir when it first featured full nudity nine years later. After ten years out of print due to financial constraints, Pirelli returned with a bang in 1984 – sexier than any before.

The Italian tire company first signaled a change in direction with its 2017 calendars, announcing that it was “breaking the rules” and giving the much-anticipated calendar a new feminist makeover.

The spread starred Robin Wright, Julianne Moore, Charlotte Rampling and Helen Mirren (then aged 50, 55, 70 and 71 respectively) and was hailed as a triumph for its portrayal of older women.

Previous issues have featured the biggest names in fashion, music and acting, including ‘Big Five’ supermodels Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi.

They have been photographed by photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Nick Knight and Annie Leibovitz.
