Noibat, the sound wave Pokémon, has been revealed as the featured Pokémon for the upcoming February 5th Community Day event in Pokémon GO, according to Niantic.
The purple bat-like Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon was released with the main series Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y.
Noibat is the featured Pokemon for February’s Community Day and will help players not only catch new Noibat, but also grind for candy to turn their Noibat into a Noivern.
On February 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., players can experience the Community Day event in their Pokémon GO app and receive tons of bonuses.
Basic Community Day event bonuses in the form of triple Stardust and double Candy reward for catching Pokémon, Bait Modules and Incense activated for the duration of the event and an additional special exchange are pending.
In addition to these typical Community Day event bonuses, players level 31 and above have a double chance of receiving Candy XL when catching Pokémon. Trades also require 50% less Stardust for the duration of the event and five hours after.
Noibat can be evolved into Noivern by giving him 400 Candy. If Noibat evolves during the event (and up to five hours after), the noivers will learn the Charged Attack Boomburst.
From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the day of the event, players can encounter Noibat in four-star Raid Battles, with additional Noibat being able to be caught in the host Gym for 30 minutes.
The shiny variant of Noibat has an increased chance to spawn during the event.
