Pokemon Let’s Go Nuzlocke Challenge: How to beat it

Pokemon Let’s Go’s Nuzlocke Challenge is just as difficult as other games.

It seemed guaranteed that Pokemon Let’s Go would have its own Nuzlocke challenge. Given the hardcore fan base that Pokemon games have garnered over the years, it was inevitable that this popular playstyle would resurface.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee are the latest entries in the long-running Pokemon franchise and the first main entries to be released for Nintendo Switch in November 2018. Improved remakes of the first generation of games (1996’s Pokemon Red and Blue and 1998’s Pokemon Yellow), Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee integrated the mobile game Pokemon Go to create a new system for catching Pokemon in addition to the staples of the fighting trainer and gym leader .

Given its relatively faithful recreation, this means Pokemon Let’s Go is ripe for the Nuzlocke challenge.

Named after the comic series of the same name, the Nuzlocke Challenge is a mainstay in the Pokemon fan base as an alternative way to play the game. Essentially, the Nuzlocke Challenge is playing a Pokémon game with a set of self-imposed rules designed to make the game more challenging for experienced players and create a more immersive experience.

While there is no hard and fast set of rules for a Nuzlocke run of the game, there are a few general principles with other optional rules that can be added based on preference.

Given that Pokemon Let’s Go has a fairly large number of challenging encounters like Green than in the original titles, a Nuzlocke challenge can be seen as a fun way to spice up the standard Pokemon formula, and this is even more true in the new titles .
