A man mysteriously disappeared from a Carnival Cruise ship just hours before the ship was due to arrive in Miami.

Kevin McGrath, 26, was a passenger on a Carnival cruise ship sailing from Miami to Bimini, Bahamas, over Labor Day weekend.

He was supposed to meet his family for breakfast Monday morning before the ship returned to Florida, but he never showed up.

Carnival Cruise contacted the Miami Police Department and Coast Guard to alert them to the mysterious disappearance, but the search turned up nothing.

Kevin’s sister Kristen McGrath posted on social media as authorities continue to search for her sibling, “My brother is missing!” He never got off the Carnival Conquest cruise ship. He has a family that loves him and we won’t rest until we find him.”

Kirsten McGrath shared a picture of the family on her social media during the cruise and Kevin looked happy as he smiled and held a drink.

To draw attention to her brother’s mysterious disappearance, she captioned the posted image: “I’ll never be the same until I know where you are.”

McGrath was last seen by his brother at his cabin number 1326 at 2am. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and gray sneakers.

Camera surveillance and security devices showed McGrath wasn’t overdoing it.

The missing man’s concerned family reported his disappearance at 7 a.m. Monday.

After Miami-Dade police searched the boat for McGrath without finding him, they cleared the cruise ship to set sail again and head back to the Bahamas.

Video footage did not show him disembarking with the other guests, adding to his mysterious disappearance.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Miami-Dade Police Department at (305) 715-3300.

Mitchell Branch was a friend of McGrath’s through the military. After McGrath’s disappearance, he posted on Facebook, ‘The military was a bond that could never be broken.’ I pray you are well.’

Branch said, “Part of me wants to go to Florida and start my own search party.”
