The NYPD evacuated the World Trade Center station in New York City on Tuesday afternoon to investigate a “suspicious package.”
Police issued an alert just before 1.30pm, saying: “Due to a police investigation please avoid The Oculus at this time.”
Authorities are investigating a suspicious package at The Oculus after receiving a possible bomb threat in the Big Apple’s financial district.
Witnesses say no PATH trains are currently running to the World Trade Center – after a package was allegedly left on the tracks.
Footage from the scene showed police enforcing a cordon as commuters climbed out of the building.
Emergency vehicles, including NYPD vans, were seen outside the area as police continue to investigate and evacuate the station.
