Emmanuel Macron allowed autistic journalists to ridicule his wife Brigitte.
The French President, 45, first met his wife Brigitte, 69, when she was teaching the then 15-year-old literature at his La Providence High School.
He was asked about their romance during a session with autistic interviewers by Le Papotin, a facility founded in 1990 in a Parisian day-care center for young people with autism.
Embarrassed by one of the questions written on a card, the interviewer on stage handed the note to Macron to read it aloud himself.

One of the interviewers accepts an offer from the French President to read the daring question himself

Macron reads the card to the group of journalists and says loudly that the President should set an example and not marry his teacher
The President asked the question and said, “He is the President. You should set an example and not marry your teacher.’
The question was met with laughter from the interviewers, who were described by the outlet as “atypical journalists” and known for asking such daring questions.
In response, Macron said, “You don’t choose who you fall in love with. She wasn’t really my teacher, she taught me theater. That does not count.’
His response to the question was met with giggles, with a journalist sitting nearby pointing at the President and jokingly saying, “That was a smart answer.”
Macron replied: “It’s true! You’re already undoing my answers.

The question is met with laughter before Macron explains that “you don’t choose who you fall in love with”.

“It’s not like she was my math teacher.”
Looking at the journalist, he jokes: “I’m trying to negotiate.”
During the session, Macron was also asked if he had “a lot of money,” to which the president said he now earns less than he did in his previous role as a banker.
And on Starring Friendships, he added: “It’s not the best job to have a lot of friends.”
He thanked the journalists at the end of the interview and continued, “Your questions took me to areas I haven’t been to in other interviews with other journalists.”
