Prince Harry has confirmed it and Meghan announced the Duchess’ pregnancy at Princess Eugenie’s wedding

Prince Harry has confirmed he and Meghan announced the Duchess’s first pregnancy at Princess Eugenie’s wedding – before describing how he helped give birth to his daughter Lilibet.
In his explosive new biography, Spare, Prince Harry revealed that he and his wife broke the happy news to the Prince and Princess of Wales during a cocktail party after the reception in October 2018.
It’s just one of many glimpses into the lives of Meghan and Harry, and the early days of Archie and Lilibet, detailed in his bombshell memoir Spare – which was mistakenly published in Spain yesterday.
Regarding Meghan’s pregnancy with their first child, Archie, now three, Harry said they felt compelled to break the news to his family in person before embarking on their tour of Australia in late 2018.

They chose his cousin Eugenie’s wedding in Windsor to make the announcement as the wider members of the royal family would be in attendance.
Before the drinks reception, the couple met Charles at his Windsor office and Harry said he was delighted to see his father’s “big smile” after finding out he was about to become a grandfather for the fourth time.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then made their way to St George’s Hall, where the drinks reception was held, to tell Prince William about it.
He echoed her father’s opinion and urged her to tell Kate immediately. The Princess of Wales was speaking across the room to her sister Pippa Middleton, who was expecting their son Arthur at the time.

Describing Kate’s reaction, Harry wrote: “She also smiled widely and sent warm congratulations. They both responded exactly as I had hoped – as I had wished.”
Although the couple didn’t release the news until days later, Princess Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, is said to have been “angry” that the couple “staged” the bride.
In their book Royals At War, investigative journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillet wrote, “That was a huge social faux pas, even if you weren’t a king — Eugenie, who was just as furious as her mother, Sarah, at stealing the spotlight.”
Later in the book, Prince Harry recounts the birth of his one-year-old daughter, Lilibet Diana, and how it compares to Archie’s birth in 2019.
During the Duchess’ first labour, Prince Harry describes how the couple’s bodyguards bought a Nando’s takeaway for the hospital. He also recalls using nitrous oxide to calm his nerves.

In contrast, he says the couple felt “more secure and calm” as they headed to Lilibet’s delivery two years later.
He wrote: “When the doctor said it was a matter of minutes I said to Meg the first thing I wanted was for the little baby to see my face. We knew it was going to be a girl. She agreed and shook my hand.”
As the doctor oversaw the whole thing, Harry explained how he helped deliver his daughter.
He then handed them to Meghan – who later told him she “never has been more in love with him than she is at that moment” – so she could go skin-to-skin with their daughter.
The couple announced the birth of their daughter in June 2016, naming her Lilibet Diana in honor of Harry’s late mother and grandmother.
Additionally, Prince Harry writes in extraordinary detail about how Meghan and the Princess of Wales broke down in tears during the infamous bridesmaid dress row, while he also detailed a disagreement over a lip gloss joint – and how Meghan’s comments hurt Kate’s ‘baby brain’ during pregnancy.
The Duke also describes how his first home with Meghan, Nottingham Cottage, was a world away from the grandeur of William and Kate’s home at Kensington Palace.
In June 2018, Prince Harry claimed he visited his brother and sister’s London home with Meghan Markle to clear the air after a series of disagreements.
During the chilly meeting, where Prince William accused Meghan of being “rude,” Harry said the Prince and Princess of Wales’ lavish apartment made him and his wife “embarrassed” about their “cozy” living quarters.
