Priscilla Presley breaks down in tears as she says her late daughter Lisa Marie was “suicidal” months before her death

Priscilla Presley broke down in tears as she explained that her late daughter Lisa Marie was “suicidal” months before her death.

Lisa Marie died on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54, from a small intestinal obstruction caused by a previous weight loss surgery – in which opioids were found in her blood at the time of her death.

Priscilla said Lisa Marie is still struggling with the loss of her son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in 2020.

During an appearance on TalkTV, which airs on Thursday, she told presenter Piers Morgan: “It was unbearable. “I lost my mother, my grandson and my daughter.

“Losing Ben was the hardest thing for her, he took his own life, he was the love of her life.” She adored him, she would do anything for him.

She continued, “We were sitting in Memphis in the suit, she said, ‘I don’t know if I want to be here.’ She kept going on about Ben and how she was still grieving, that was a few months ago.”

This comes after Prsscilla revealed that her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley had complained of “really bad stomach pains” just days before her tragic death from an intestinal blockage.

Lisa’s last public appearance was at the Golden Globe Awards on January 10, where she caused concern when Priscilla shared her final memories of her only daughter in an emotional interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

She said, “I knew something was wrong” about the days before Lisa Marie’s death, recalling how the couple went to the Chateau Marmont to celebrate Austin Butler’s win for his role as the music icon in the film Elvis.

Priscilla said, “We had just gotten there, you’re going down all these stairs.” I stumbled a little because I had these high heels on and she started laughing so hard. I started laughing. We hadn’t even had anything to drink.

“She goes, ‘Oh my God, Mom, you can’t even drink.’ … It was fun, a nice memory. Then we sat down and ordered drinks and she says, ‘Mom, my stomach really hurts.’ We immediately got up and left.”

Two days later, Lisa Marie’s ex-husband Danny Keough called Priscilla to tell her the star had collapsed at home and was in hospital – Priscilla said: “I got straight in the car but she was already gone. “I can still don’t believe it. I wouldn’t wish that on any mother.”

She said: “It was unbearable.” I lost my mother, I lost my grandson and I lost my daughter. “It’s still shocking that we don’t have them.”

Lisa Marie’s death sparked a dispute between her daughter Riley Keough, 34, and Priscilla over ownership of the property.

In a recently signed settlement, Priscilla agreed – in exchange for $1.4 million plus an undisclosed sum for 10 years – to give up control of her late daughter’s Promenade Trust and give up Riley, the star of the TV series “Daisy.” Jones and the Six” as sole trustee.

During an appearance on TalkTV, she told presenter Piers Morgan:

The settlement between Priscilla and Riley settled an alleged feud between the two that was sparked when Priscilla filed a legal challenge to her daughter’s will – which stripped Priscilla of control of her wealthy Promenade Trust – just two weeks after Lisa Marie’s death in January and handed it over to Riley.

Elvis and Priscilla first met in Germany in 1959, when he was 24 and serving in the army and she was just 14.

After he returned to the United States, they stayed in touch through phone calls—before she finally convinced her parents to let her move to Memphis, Tennessee, full-time in 1963 to be with him.

Priscilla dated Elvis for eight years before they married in a Las Vegas ceremony in 1967. The couple had a daughter – Lisa Marie.

They divorced in 1973 due to the Blue Suede Shoes hitmaker’s infidelity – Elvis tragically died of a heart attack just four years later, aged 42.

Last month, an LA County coroner’s report revealed that Lisa Marie died as a result of a small intestinal obstruction (a condition that results from a previous illness or injury).

The intestinal obstruction was in the form of a strangulated small intestine and was caused by adhesions that had developed many years earlier after bariatric surgery (stomach stapling).

The toxicology results also show that Lisa had “therapeutic” levels of oxycodone in her blood, with a second opioid, buprenorphine, used to treat opioid addiction also being found.

There were also traces of quetiapine, an antipsychotic, TMZ reported.

The coroner states that no “drug paraphernalia or narcotics” were found at her home and that her urine toxicology test came back negative.

The report confirms that Lisa had had plastic surgery and been prescribed opioids several months before her death, with the star having a history of “overmedication” – forgetting she had taken her medication and then taking it again.

The reports also stated that the star had a “history of alcohol and drug abuse.”

Lisa Marie welcomed daughter Riley and son Benjamin with her ex-husband Danny Keough, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1994. Benjamin died by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27.

In 2008, she gave birth to twin daughters Harper and Finley with her then-husband Michael Lockwood, but the couple divorced in 2016.

Lisa Marie’s life was tumultuous, with five stints in rehab for cocaine and opioid abuse, four failed marriages – including one to Michael Jackson – as well as the loss of her son to suicide and a bitter custody battle over her twin girls with her falsely accused ex-husband. Having child pornography.

Sources told TMZ that Lisa Marie was found lifeless in her bedroom by her housekeeper and that her ex-husband Danny Keough, with whom she lived, performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Lisa Marie tried to lose weight for Elvis Awards season and even took opioids in the weeks before her death.

The star underwent plastic surgery two months before the Golden Globes and lost up to 50 pounds as part of a strict regimen.

Lisa Marie previously struggled with opioid addiction after being given a short-term prescription during her recovery from the birth of her twin daughters, Harper Vivienne and Finley, in 2008.

By 2013, she was using cocaine heavily and went to rehab at least five times.

She was believed to have been sober in recent years, but after her son’s death, her ex-husband Michael Lockwood said he feared she might relapse.

As a teenager, she rebelled against drugs between the ages of 13 and 17, but her mother took her to The Castle, a Scientology center in Hollywood, to get her off drugs.

“I did everything except mushrooms and heroin or crack,” she said.

“Cocaine, tranquilizers, marijuana and alcohol all at the same time… I don’t know how I survived that.”

“One day I woke up with a bunch of people on the floor. I drove myself to the Church of Scientology and said, “Someone… help me right now.”

It worked for a while, and Lisa Marie said she has been drug-free since she was 17.
