‘Prison Break’ reboot is ‘in the works’ with Mayans MC creator Elgin James as writer… but stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are NOT expected to return

Accordingly, a reboot of the successful crime series Prison Break is currently in the works deadline.

The media company announced that Elgin James, best known for his work as co-creator of Sons Of Anarchy spinoff Mayans MC, will write the new project, for which he will also serve as executive producer.

Sources revealed that the new version of the series would not feature many of the characters from the original version.

It has also been reported that the series’ main leads, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, are unlikely to return for the reboot.

The new version of Prison Break will be set in the universe of the old program.

There is no expected release date for the reboot, which is currently in early development.

The first season of Prison Break debuted on Fox on August 29, 2005.

The show’s cast was led by Wentworth Miller and Purcell, who portrayed Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, respectively.

Artists such as Amaury Nolasco, Sarah Wayne Callies and Robert Knepper rounded out the program’s lineup.

The show ran for three more seasons and the final part of the fourth episode aired on May 15, 2009.

The show was followed by a television movie called Prison Break: The Final Break, which was released in theaters on May 27th.

Prison Break was eventually brought back for a fifth season, which ran from April to May 2017.

Much of the series’ main cast, including Miller and Purcell, returned for the sequel.

It was announced that Fox executives intended to revive Prison Break for a sixth season in January 2018.

However, the network’s leaders ultimately changed course and it was confirmed that the project had been shelved the following year.

Miller confirmed that he had no plans to return to his old role as Michael Scofield in November 2020.

Accordingly deadlineThe actor explained that he didn’t want to “play normal characters” in the future, and his decision was supported by both Purcell and Callies.
