Leandro Paredes reveals he had ‘no relationship’ with Kylian Mbappe at PSG before joining Juventus – days after Neymar hinted he is still at odds with the Frenchman
Leandro Paredes has revealed he had “no relationship” with Kylian Mbappe during his time at PSG – despite the pair sharing the same dressing room for three seasons.
The Argentine left PSG this summer on a season-long loan from Juventus, which can be made permanent for £19.5million if the Italian side decide to activate the call option clause in the deal.
Since leaving Parc des Princes, Paredes has disclosed his relationship – or lack of one – with Mbappe, insisting he does not speak about it as there was no connection between them.

“I’m not the one talking about him,” he said ESPN Argentina when questioned about his relationship with Mbappe. “I had a connection with those I had a relationship with. But I can’t tell you the ones I haven’t had a relationship with.’
This isn’t the first time this season that Mbappe has experienced a frosty relationship with one of his own teammates.
Paredes’ comments come days after Neymar stopped burying the hatchet with Mbappe, with the PSG duo reportedly at odds.
The two team-mates showed signs of a strained relationship on the pitch earlier this season when the strikers clashed over a penalty in France’s 5-2 win over Montpellier a month ago.

Neymar stepped forward and scored after Mbappe missed earlier in the game after struggling over who should take the second penalty.
The France international also chose not to celebrate with his Brazilian team-mate after executing his penalty.
The Brazilian then liked a series of tweets criticizing Mbappe but the rift was reportedly quashed the same week after talks with sporting director Luis Campos.
Neymar was then furious with Mbappe during the Champions League win over Juventus earlier this month after the French star refused to pass the ball to him, which would have handed him an easy tap-in.

Instead, Mbappe opted to shoot for his hat-trick but missed the target, leaving more questions about their relationship.
Following Brazil’s 3-0 win over Ghana on Friday night, Neymar gave a revealing response to his feelings towards Mbappe as he brushed off a question about his relationship with the PSG striker and left.
He told the media after helping his country earn a win during the international break: “With Kylian? I do not know.’
Mbappe previously downplayed the rift between him and Neymar after those on-pitch incidents.
“This is the sixth year with Neymar,” he said. “We’ve always had a relationship like this, based on respect but sometimes with warmer and colder moments.
“It’s the nature of our relationship. I have a lot of respect for the player he is.
“When you have two players of such strong character, you have moments like this, but always with respect and in the interests of PSG.”
Neymar is currently Ligue 1’s top scorer with eight goals after an impressive start to the new season.
