Queen Consort Camilla chats to guests at the star-studded Christmas party in central London

The Queen Consort was photographed chatting to guests at a Christmas party she attended in central London this week.

Camilla, 75, donned a green midi dress as she attended the star-studded party at Mayfair’s Murano restaurant on Wednesday, hosted by Ewan Venters – the former head of royal grocers Fortnum & Mason.

She paired the dress in festive colors with a cropped navy blue cape jacket, knee-high suede boots and a navy blue handbag. The finishing touch to her look was a classic makeup look with a fresh base and her signature pink lips. Camilla wore her long, cropped hair loose.

The royal was joined by a host of stars including Dame Judi Dench, Jeremy Clarkson and Tess Daly at the glitzy restaurant owned by Angela Hartnett.

Other guests at Wednesday’s event included Claudia Winkleman and Tracy Emin.

And Camilla caught up with Dames Maggie Smith and Maureen Lipman at the ‘white truffle’ lunch held at the Michelin-starred restaurant.

She was also photographed with her son, Tom Parker-Bowles, whom she kissed before exiting the restaurant.

The Earl of Grantham – Dame Maggie’s Downton Abbey co-star Hugh Bonneville – was also on the star-studded guest list alongside broadcasters Piers Morgan and Chris Evans.

The event came just hours before Harry and Meghan’s second episode of their Netflix docu-series, in which the Duchess of Sussex boasted a text from Beyonce as the megastar offered her support.

Other big stars have also befriended Meghan in recent years, including Oprah Winfrey and tennis ace Serena Williams, the latter of whom appeared in episode three of the Harry & Meghan series.

But Camilla, it seems, continues to have some appeal, particularly among Britain’s A-lists.

Wednesday’s event was a purely private affair, meaning the Queen Consort was not invited on official royal business – and her presence is likely to have ensured more stars turned up for the night.

Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing was also in attendance and was seen giggling outside the restaurant with Dame Maggie.

Host Mr Venters currently Hauser & Wirth operates from Los Angeles to Monaco, until recently known as an art-only company with galleries around the world.

But it has recently broadened its horizons and in October opened its own Mayfair establishment, Mount Street Restaurant – with a pub downstairs.

Camilla and King Charles ate there just weeks ago. Though the king missed Wednesday’s treat, he may be in line for a consolation as guests left Murano with “goodie bags” in hand.
