Rachel Zegler performs in New York City amid backlash over the resurgence of a controversial video destroying the original animated film “Snow White.”

Rachel Zegler was spotted out for a walk in New York City on Monday.

The 22-year-old actress looked casual in a Lady Gaga t-shirt and denim cargo pants as she went on a solo outing amid her recent controversy.

The “Snow White” star, who is facing backlash over the destruction of the original animated film in a newly leaked video, also slipped on a pair of chunky black boots.

She left her brunette locks loose and wore blue tinted sunglasses on her head.

The West Side Story grad was seen toting around a gray crochet bag adorned with white daisies.

She appeared to be listening to music during her walk as she wore headphones.

For her day trip, she opted for a makeup-free look to show off her naturally radiant beauty.

Zegler recently faced controversy after leaked footage showed her talking about how much she disliked the original 1937 Disney classic and the “Stalker” prince.

This comes after she was cast as Snow White in the upcoming live-action remake, due to hit theaters in 2024.

When the cast for the film was announced, she was met with criticism and vicious racist trolling for not being a traditionally “fair” German princess.

During a red carpet interview with Extra TV, she made controversial comments about how her version of Snow White would differ.

“The original cartoon came out in 1937 and that’s pretty obvious,” she said in the interview. “The focus is on her love story with the man who is literally stalking her.”

She called it “weird,” before saying, “So we didn’t do that this time.”

“Different”: When the cast for the film was announced, she was met with criticism and vicious racist trolling for not being a traditionally “fair” German princess. During a red carpet interview with Extra TV, she made controversial comments about how her version of Snow White would differ

“We have a different approach to what I’m sure a lot of people will think is a love story just because we cast a man in the film,” she said of whether there would be a prince in the remake.

“It’s one of those things that I think everyone will have their own ideas about how it’s actually going to be,” she continued. “But it’s not really about the love story at all — it’s really, really wonderful.”

In another interview with Variety, Zegler admitted that she wouldn’t play the beloved Disney princess the same way she was portrayed in the 1937 cartoon.

She said her Snow White is “not being saved by the prince” and is not someone who “dreams of true love.”

“She dreams of becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader her late father told her she could be if she were fearless, fair, brave and loyal “, added her.

Whether her character finds love, she said, “remains unclear until 2024.”
