Respawn is working on the Apex Legends badge rework

Respawn Entertainment has been working hard to fix the badge issue since the launch of Apex Legends Season 14. Developer Kalyrical released the first update five days ago, but developer RobotHavGunz has provided more clarity on the situation.

Every fix doesn’t seem to work when launched on the live servers and they just can’t give out badges, the system doesn’t work that way. So you’re looking for some transcoding to allow for handouts.

RobotHavGunz went deeper in depth than the original post.

“I’ve been trying to fix this for the past 6 months. My fix works 100% in our development environment and 0% in Live so far. If we’re “sure” we’ve fixed it and then it turns out not to be working, we’ve stopped making more public posts on the subject. We’re working with a few Preds that we know are working with they are affected and every time i think i figured out why it didn’t work and we got an update out we ask them to see if the fix is valid and if they confirm it’s good then we’ll make a bigger announcement. But if – as has been the case – it’s another bust, then we have avoided raising people’s hopes and not delivering underlying logic, just because it’s not clear why *some* players aren’t getting the right badge, or why we can’t actually fix them Badges are a much more complex system than meets the eye like, and therefore EA support can do literally nothing to fix these p layers. We can’t just “give” players these specific badges (because of the way the system is set up), although increasingly it looks like the best option would be to rewrite the badge system so that we do just that be able.”

Players will still have to wait for the final fix to be developed. At this point, Respawn is more likely to find a way to manually distribute them to those who have the bug. Respawn is working on the Apex Legends badge rework
