Going makeup-free, she had her blonde tresses in loose waves hanging down her shoulders, while being honest and forthright in her caption.

In September 2021 Rhian revealed her fourth round of IVF had failed and admitted at the time she was struggling to put on a “brave face”. It is not known if she has since attempted a fifth round.

The beauty showed her vulnerable side as she spoke candidly about how she was feeling down on Instagram amid her challenging fertility journey.

And Rhian shared a glamorous photo in lingerie and gave an update: “I’m feeling blue [blue heart emoji]. Had a tough few weeks…

“For those who have been following my journey… IVF round 4 failed ❤️‍but it is now time for me to pick myself up and move on!

“Being in the public eye and trying to put on a brave face is harder than it looks, but I’ve done it many times and I will do it again.

“It’s time to put on my best underwear, get back to normal and get back behind the camera and do what makes me happy! Kudos to my support network. You are the best! ❤️ #ivfwarrior [pineapple emoji].’ [sic]

In April 2019, Rhian discussed her plans for IVF after being told she had an egg count of “a woman over 45”, but added that the procedure only had a “two percent” success rate.

Anticipation: In October 2020, Rhian announced in a candid Instagram post that her third round of in vitro fertilization (IVF) was “coming up.”

Rhian explained: “I’ve been told that I might never be a mother – and I’m heartbroken.

“Doctors said I have a woman’s egg count over 45, which means I’m unlikely to ever get pregnant naturally.

“It also means that the chance of getting pregnant through IVF has dropped from 30 percent to 2 percent – which was pretty devastating to hear.”

In vitro fertilization, known as IVF, is a medical procedure in which a woman has an already fertilized egg placed in her uterus to become pregnant.

It is used when couples are unable to conceive naturally and a sperm and egg are removed from their bodies and combined in a laboratory before the embryo is placed in the woman.

Once the embryo is in the womb, the pregnancy should proceed normally.

The procedure can be performed using eggs and sperm from a couple or from donors.

How does IVF work?

In vitro fertilization, known as IVF, is a medical procedure in which a woman has an already fertilized egg placed in her uterus to become pregnant.

Guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommend that IVF should be offered under the NHS to women under the age of 43 who have been trying to conceive through regular unprotected sex for the past two years.

People can also pay for IVF privately, which costs an average of £3,348 for a single cycle, according to figures published in January 2018, and there is no guarantee of success.

According to the NHS, success rates for women under 35 are around 29 per cent, with the chance of a successful cycle decreasing with age.

It is believed that around eight million babies have been born as a result of IVF since the very first case, British woman Louise Brown, was born in 1978.

chances of success

The success rate of IVF depends on the age of the woman being treated and the cause of infertility (if known).

Younger women are more likely to have a successful pregnancy.

IVF is not usually recommended for women over the age of 42 because the chances of a successful pregnancy are considered too low.

Between 2014 and 2016, the percentage of IVF treatments that resulted in a live birth was:

29 percent for women under 35

23 percent for women aged 35 to 37

15 percent for women aged 38 to 39

9 percent for women aged 40 to 42

3 percent for women aged 43 to 44

2 percent for women over 44
