Royal sources claim a peace summit for Prince Harry and the company is on the horizon

A reconciliation between Prince Harry, Prince William and their father is not out of the question, sources say, amid fears King Charles’ coronation will “become a circus” with the royals still at war.

A royal source with close ties to His Majesty and the Sussexes believes both parties will seek peace talks in the coming months.

“It’s fixable,” the source told the Times. “Both sides have to put their hands up and admit that we didn’t do everything right and we did a lot wrong… It will require flexibility on all sides, but it can be done.”

“It takes Harry over here, in the room with the King and Prince of Wales, some other family members, some of ‘his people’ that he trusts, who have always had his back so he doesn’t think he’s being mugged. “

The source said King Charles had no problem with those terms. And Harry has made no secret of his desire to reconcile with his family – despite all the mud fights of the past few weeks.

Prince William might be a little more difficult to win over, the source said.

He is said to have been very hurt by the way his younger brother portrayed him in his memoir Spare.

Harry has shared deeply personal memories of fraternal spats they shared, revealed text messages between his wife Meghan and the Princess of Wales during their now infamous bridesmaid dress argument and accused the future king and queen of endorsing his Nazi costume .

Despite this, the royal source says William’s ultimate loyalty is to his country and he will reconcile if he believes it is best for the monarchy’s future.

A second source said: “They have to invite her before the coronation or it’s going to be such a circus and such a distraction.”

The King’s coronation will take place on Saturday, June 6th.

There have been conflicting reports as to whether the Sussexes can expect an invitation to the ceremony.

It was originally reported that Charles would extend an invitation to Harry and Meghan, although insiders privately felt they would find a reason to politely decline.

But amid the onslaught of insults, there were whispers that His Majesty was being urged to reconsider his position – even by some senior royals – amid concerns private discussions would find their way into print.

Those concerns were certainly not allayed when Harry revealed in an interview with The Telegraph this week that he has enough material to publish a second book.

In fact, half of his first draft ended up on the cutting room floor because he feared revealing its contents would mean he’d passed the point of no return with his brother and father.

He said: “There have been some things that have happened, particularly between me and my brother and to an extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know about. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”

These memoirs were only shared with ghostwriter JR Moehringer for context and did not make it into the final version. According to publisher Penguin Random House, Spare is already a record breaker.

Harry said he knew that including details about intimate moments with his family would generate backlash, but ultimately decided he couldn’t tell his story truthfully without them.

Still, the royal household is said to remain hopeful that the grenade-throwing worst is now in the past.

If that proves right and Harry spends the next few weeks enjoying the quiet life in Los Angeles that he and Meghan have longed for, sources say there is hope for his relationship with his family.

Harry said he was open to a reconciliation and even a return to a part-royal role on the condition he could have “open” conversations with his family, which would remain private.

“I don’t know if they will see that [interview] or not, but what they have to say to me and what I have to tell them will be confidential and I hope it can stay that way,” he said, noting that he didn’t want “open discussions.” [to] Leak’.

The comments were called tongue-in-cheek given all the private moments Harry shared in his memoir.

He also said he would demand an apology from Meghan if he were to return to the royal flock.

The prince said: “You know what you did and I now know why you did it. And you got caught, so just come in.’

He claimed “if people had listened to his concerns earlier,” the gulf between him and Meghan and the rest of the royals wouldn’t have gotten so wide.

It’s not clear what Harry wants his family to apologize to his wife for, but he claimed he fought the “good fight” by siding with Meghan.

During the promotional blitz to promote his book, The Duke of Sussex told Tom Bradby that “a lot can happen before then” when asked if he will go to see his father be crowned in May.

The coronation – just 16 weeks away – will be a smaller affair than ever, reflecting King Charles’ ambitions for a slimmed-down monarchy. The palace is yet to release plans for the ceremony and the guest list has not yet been agreed.

Organizers said the event will “reflect the role of the monarch today” and “look to the future while being rooted in long-standing traditions and pageantry”.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said: “There is always a way forward. But it has to be at the right time.”
