As well as being on his age group path in the Super League, Holgate also played for Hensingham at the same time.
The youngster was also selected for the England Community Lions Under-19 side in 2022.

And Salford gave a heartfelt tribute to social media after receiving the tragic news of his sudden death, sending their support to Holgate’s family.
They wrote: “Everyone at the Salford Red Devils is saddened by the sudden death of Logan Holgate.
“Logan played alongside @hensingham_arl for our U18 path and was set to be promoted to the reserves team this season. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at such a sad time.
And the Red Devils were backed by the RFL in honoring Holgate, who said they were aware of his talent since “2021” and recognized his “contagious attitude” and “enduring legacy”.

“Everyone associated with the English Fellowship Lions program was saddened to learn of the sudden death of Logan Holgate on Wednesday 11th January,” their message read.
“The talented hooker, who played with distinction for Hensingham, including in the National Conference melting pot last season, followed the family tradition of representing the Lions, hot on the heels of big brother Ellison and younger brother Fletcher.
“Logan first garnered attention in 2021, making his Lions debut for the Under-16s in a win over Wales at Colwyn Bay.

“While in Italy, he was virtually always present during the grueling six-game qualifying day, impressing teammates and staff alike with his work ethic, infectious attitude and quick sense of humour.
“He then played superbly in the semi-finals and again in the final as the Lions swept Wales aside before beating France and winning the European Under-19 Championship for the first time in dramatic and emotional scenes.
“He leaves a lasting legacy for the program and staff – a brilliant young man and teammate. All of our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends at this devastating time.”
And Hensingham, for whom Holgate played at youth level alongside his role in the Salford youth, offered a tribute of his own.
And in a touching move, following the desperately tragic news, the club also changed their Twitter profile picture to Holgate’s face.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our boys, Logan Holgate.
“Logan has been at the club since he was young and has played for our open age and under-18s this year. We would like to express our condolences to the family and friends.
“We are all devastated by the news and will continue to support the family as much as we can. RIP Logan.’
