Russia produces the first batch of nuclear-armed Poseidon torpedo drones

Russia has manufactured its first batch of high-speed Poseidon drones, said to be capable of wiping out entire coasts with radioactive tsunamis, it was reported today.
The weapon, which could reportedly cause a 1,640-foot tsunami, is said to have an unlimited range, although details of its unique 125-mile underwater propulsion system have been a closely guarded Russian secret.
The development came as a loyalist to Vladimir Putin called on state television for Britain to be “ripped off the face of the earth” as it prepares to supply Ukraine with Challenger 2 tanks.
Retired General Andrey Gurulev claimed on Rossiya 1 that the use of British and German tanks “to kill us” crosses a red line.
He accused Britain of “getting cocky” and warned that the country could be wiped off the map without resorting to nuclear weapons, stressing: “We must remember London lest they try to steal our victory.” If it didn’t exist, there will be victory.’

He also called for a first giant nuclear test on the Arctic island of Novaya Zemlya “to make the whole world tremble.”
Its outburst against Britain came when Russia’s state news agency TASS reported the manufacture of the “first batch of nuclear-armed Poseidon drones”.
Last year, another top Putin propagandist, Dmitry Kiselyov, notoriously told viewers that Russia should “throw Britain into the depths of the sea” with its “underwater robotic drone Poseidon.”
The Russian weapon is a huge nuclear-armed torpedo capable of causing radioactive tsunamis that destroy enemy shores.
In October it was reported that NATO had sent an intelligence statement to its member states warning that Putin had deployed his 604-foot K-329 Belgorod nuclear submarine, carrier of the Poseidon.

The Belgorod submarine is set to carry Moscow’s superweapon — a nuclear-powered drone called Poseidon — which Russia claims can cause nuclear tsunamis
At the time it was believed to be on a mission to test the fearsome weapon.
A source told TASS today: “The first batch of Poseidon ammunition has been manufactured and will soon be delivered to the Belgorod nuclear-powered special submarine.”
The same Russian military and defense industry source said trials of core components of Poseidon underwater drones, including the nuclear power unit, have been successfully tested.
Putin sees the Poseidon as the key to his ultimate military dominance over the West, it has been reported.
Gurulev – a key mouthpiece for senior hardliners – sees Britain as the linchpin of Western unity with Ukraine and an instigator of military supplies to Kyiv.
He also told state television that the expected deployment of German tanks has historical significance that is changing the conflict.
“The appearance of German tanks on Russian territory is the cornerstone of any war,” he said, even if, in the event of the move, they would be used for defense in Ukraine, and not on Russian soil.
“Be ready as soon as the Leopard 2 tanks get here [for full war],’ he said.
“Britain will supply 12 Challenger 2 tanks, you have to take that seriously. It’s against us, it’s meant to kill us. These guys get cocky. They don’t have brakes.
“Should we use nuclear weapons? Why should we be embarrassed to talk about our resolve when Russian territory is under threat?’ he said menacingly.
“And Leopard tanks will go in Russia, in [our] The Nazi-occupied areas of Cherson and Zaporizhia.’
In fact, these are regions of Ukraine occupied by Putin and not Russian territory, as the Kremlin claims. Last year Moscow said it had annexed four regions in eastern Ukraine, although it has no complete control over any of them.

He asked: “Who is preventing this? Start resuming nuclear weapons testing. Drop the mother of [all bombs] on Novaya Zemlya [in the Arctic]the whole earth trembles.
“Next time we should hit the coffin lid. About Britain I said six months ago that it should be ripped off the face of the earth.
“This can be accomplished without attacking the nuclear triad, without our submarine forces with intercontinental ballistic missiles, silos or mobile launch systems.
“We have enough firepower without them.
“But we have to make it clear – one more time and that will come.
‘Our President [Vladimir Putin] said that at this point everything is going according to the plan of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, that’s true.
“But I am sure that the plans do not include the presence of German tanks on our soil. The special operation has been running for almost a year.
‘[The people are with Putin]. They will do anything to win. But we have to remember London so they don’t try to steal the win from us.
‘If it didn’t exist, there will be victory.’
Kiselyov – who is being watched closely by Putin and a top executive in Moscow’s powerful state media propaganda machine – told viewers in May that one option was to “throw Britain into the depths of the sea,” Russia’s underwater robotic drone Poseidon.
“It approaches the target at a depth of one kilometer at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour [125mph]. There is NO way to stop this underwater drone,” he said at the time. “It has a warhead with a capacity of up to 100 megatons.
“The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo near the British coast will send up a huge wave, a tsunami, up to 500 meters [1,640ft] high.
“This tidal wave is also a carrier of extremely high doses of radiation.
“If it sweeps across Britain it will turn what is likely left of them into a radioactive desert.
“Permanently useless for anything.
“How do you like this view? And Putin warned about it on February 24 [if anyone interfered with his special military operation].’
Chief Analyst of the Russian General Staff, Admiral Igor Katasonov, said: “The unique properties of the Poseidon system will help the Navy successfully combat aircraft carriers and strike groups of a potential adversary in any oceanic theater of war and destroy infrastructure facilities on land.”
The British government has announced that it will supply tanks to Ukraine, its first donation of such a heavy weapon.

Although the pledge of 14 Challenger 2 tanks seemed modest, Ukrainian officials expect it will encourage other western nations to supply more tanks.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Ukraine can expect more heavy weapons after Kyiv asked its allies for vehicles, artillery and missiles, which he said are key to self-defense.
“The recent commitments for heavy war equipment are important – and I expect more in the near future,” Stoltenberg told the Handelsblatt daily before a meeting this week of a group coordinating arms shipments to Kyiv.
