Sadistic sommelier Ian Justin Ranney is sentenced to 14 years in prison after he flew to Dallas to ‘break’ a young woman for $6,000 in sex work.

A California sommelier has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after he flew to Texas to torture a young human trafficking victim into sex work.

Ian Justin Ranney, 35, responded to an advert from a Dallas federal agent posing as a human trafficker asking for a “seasoned sadist” to be paid $6,000 to “break” a young woman.

The San Mateo resident was arrested outside a North Texas warehouse last November with torture tools including shackles, ropes and batons. He pleaded guilty to attempted kidnapping and possession of child pornography in February.

Ranney planned to tie up and water-treat a 21-year-old woman for four days, douse her genitals with a chemical irritant, and subject her to total sensory deprivation.

A criminal complaint seen by DailyMail.com said Ranney told agents he specialized in “objectification and humiliation” and had “mentally destroyed some girls”. He added that he can “break any bi***”.

Ranney’s social media showcases a luxurious lifestyle of travel and elegant dining.

He posted pictures on Facebook proudly showing off his Tesla, his vaccination card and his voting results.

“Wine is my passion.” “Great service is my specialty,” he wrote on Instagram.

The agent who posted the ad claimed he needed someone to “train one of his girls who didn’t want to work for him anymore.”

They stated that they ran a human trafficking organization for an “upscale clientele” and bought the woman from another trafficker.

When the agent said he needed the victim to be able to do sex work on his own and bring him profits, Ranney said it was “more difficult” but he “loves a challenge.”

“That sounds fun,” he wrote.

He wrote he will try to keep the woman “unharmed,” adding, “The worst she could get would be a broken bone or two.”

“In many of my torture scenes, I specifically use chemicals,” he said. “One of my favorites is capsaicin.”

Ranney suggested that someone recorded the victim being tortured with the chemical, saying, “If someone else is watching them do this torture, that’s a good way to put them in their place.”

He intended to bring “blackout contact lenses” to the sensory depravity.

While Ranney engaged in consensual BDSM acts, prosecutors found that he was repeatedly told that the ad was not about roleplay or fantasy, it was about reality.

Three other men who responded to similar ads and traveled to Texas were also sentenced to prison terms.

The trained sommelier advised upscale restaurants on the selection of their wines and apparently most recently worked for the Taurus Steakhouse in San Carlos.

Police also found explicit photos on her cellphone of a 14-year-old girl.

During Tuesday’s sentencing hearing, Ranney’s attorney claimed he had a hard time connecting with people, The Dallas Morning News reported.

He said apologizing for his actions seemed to fall short.

Judge Terry Means ruled that because of Ranney’s IQ he would recommend a prison with “mental disabilities” so the sadist would not be “locked up”.
