Say goodbye to America, Harry and Meghan, you’ve lost us for good: MEGHAN MCCAIN

Harry and Meghan lost America.

This is the spectacularly clear conclusion after two volumes and six hours of breathtakingly deep immersion in the Netflix saga of the most miserable (ex) royals in the world.

Again I was watching so you didn’t have to.

Strikingly, the criticism isn’t just coming from Loyalists or the old-school conservative anti-Awakened Crusaders — it’s the left that’s letting go.

Congratulations H&M, you did something Biden and Trump couldn’t. You brought America together.

Almost everyone is covering their ears, covering their eyes and screaming: Please God, let it stop!

The New York Times has rehashed the “second batch of reviews” of the Megflix opus. “Some critics are fed up with the couple’s account,” they write, listing a long list of critics who found it “vindictive,” a “hyped-up reality show,” and “detached, selfless” — absorbing and cheesier than a Hallmark -Movie.’

The left-leaning The Atlantic headlined Netflix: “The cringeworthy ending to ‘Harry & Meghan’… The ex-royals insist they move on. Viewers should be so lucky. Slate, on the far left, captioned it hilariously, “It’s okay to admit Harry and Meghan are annoying.”

Yes, we know it’s “okay”.

The royally aggrieved couple’s best friend, CBS news anchor Gayle King, who attended Meghan’s baby shower, called the finale “very sensitive.” Whoopi Goldberg said she has better things to do than even watch it. Liberal shock jock Howard Stern called them “whiny bitches…like the Kardashians, but boring” even before the series ended.

I could go on. But what do ordinary Americans think?

The current “Audience Score” on crowdsourced review site Rotten Tomatoes is 14%. Honestly it’s hard to find anything lower so I gave up scrolling.

What happened? Not long ago it was completely taboo and could get you kicked out of US and UK television – see Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan – for even questioning Harry and Meghan.

Well, this is clearly coming to an end. And I’ll tell you why:

First, nobody likes clickbait.

After the infamous Oprah interview and Volume I, everyone was expecting some bombshells. But they were all duds. The most explosive headline from Volume II was that Harry’s brother yelled at him when H&M decided to leave the family and seek fame and fortune abroad.

But we are not told what William said. Harry receives a text message from William after meeting Oprah, but we don’t know what he wrote.

That’s her style – all teasing and no reward.

We still don’t know the identity of the “royal racist” who allegedly questioned “how dark” her son Archie’s skin would be. We don’t know how Princess Kate allegedly made Meghan cry before the wedding. We have no tangible evidence that the royal family is institutionally racist.

I’ve waited six hours of my life for this? Instead, we are shown crying during emotional hypnotherapy sessions – whatever that is.

Not to mention what they did to their family. How trashy to shame your own flesh and blood and for what? It was all smoke and no fire.

Second, and most importantly, Americans want to cheer for the underdog, but they need to give us something – anything – to cheer for.

Not once in the entire series did Harry and Meghan show an ounce of introspection. They never asked for forgiveness or showed personal responsibility and growth.

In their opinion, they could not have done anything differently. They are perfect angels, impeccable. In her narrative, it was the Queen and the rampantly racist royal family who felt threatened by Meghan’s radiant star power. She’s a super mega ultra star. No one could match her and she was punished for it.

Instead of anything resembling reality, we get a front-row peek inside her home in one of America’s most affluent neighborhoods, Montecito, California. It looks like a Nancy Meyers set, immaculately decorated, including a scene of Meghan sitting in a chair with a Hermes blanket behind her, and costs a cool $1,650.

Not to mention what they did to their family. How trashy to shame your own flesh and blood and for what? It was all smoke and no fire.

They have horses, chickens, idyllic coastal views. They drive in black SUVs with full security escorts. They take refuge in Tyler Perry’s home and on private islands off Canada, they live in huge penthouses in New York City, their dogs fly on private beds on their private planes with their team of assistants and nannies. But there’s nothing redeeming about being ex-royals?

It’s painfully clear to everyone that if they weren’t related to Queen Elizabeth, they wouldn’t be living this life and Netflix wouldn’t be paying them $100 million. But again, there’s no credit for it at all.

Finally, Meghan and Harry say they’re ready to move on after their grueling 17 months (oh my god!) as working royals. But they don’t get any further, not even a little bit.

Harry’s book ‘Spare’ is out in January and Meghan says her podcast series isn’t finished yet. I’m sure both will serve their relatives more painful memories and flimsy cheap shots. They saturate the market and don’t evolve. At some point they have to come up with a new act.

Perhaps the biggest mistake Harry and Meghan made was thinking Americans were fools.

Millions gave them the benefit of the doubt. They watched their interviews and shows with an open mind and ended up with – nothing. It remains to be seen if Americans will buy her book and the other complaints porn she’s creating next.

But judging by what we read and hear today, America has evolved, even if they haven’t.
