One mom is so impressed with the ice cream-based serving platter that she plans to use it for a Christmas charcuterie board instead of a Christmas fried dinner
A woman took to Facebook to show off her serving platter after snagging it at her local Aldi.
The mum said she wanted to make a charcuterie board instead of Christmas dinner but struggled to find a way to keep it cool until she found the serving platter.
“Forget making a roast for Christmas if nobody helps me, this year I’m making a giant sausage board,” she said.
“Have two of these, they’ll do just fine. I got her out of the magic aisle today!’
“One for meat and seafood, one for fruit and veg, and then cheese and dips on some slates I have.”

The great-value purchase comes complete with four removable compartments, eight sections, a dip holder, a lid, and an ice base to keep food cool. Launched in the Special Buy aisle on Saturday the 17th, the BPA-free platter comes in two different shapes – circle (left) and rectangle (right).
Aldi fans were grateful for the hints about the latest special buy and excited to get their own.
“I’ll go and get one tomorrow,” said one woman.
“Just bought three, great gifts,” wrote another.
“I got one earlier this year, pulled it out for my son’s birthday and people were like, ‘Wait! That’s neat!’ ‘Best investment,'” said another.
However, one unfortunate woman loved the product so much that she bought it for her friend, who was not very impressed.
“Bought a similar one from Big W a year ago for a friend’s birthday. She asked me to return it as she would never use it,” she said.
“I hope you returned the friend and kept the record,” one woman replied.
