Sharing a post last summer, Siânnise spoke candidly about the struggle she faced as she looked back on a tough year.

She wrote: “To my amazing family. I’ve been waiting for the right time to talk about something I’ve been living with and couldn’t find the courage to share it, but thankfully I now feel ready.

“I feel like I have a responsibility to share this because it could help one of you in some way and that’s all I want from it. To give every sufferer the belief that one can overcome their obstacles in life. This time last year I was suffering from anxiety and depression behind closed doors. This resulted in my having insomnia, extreme mood swings and a two stone weight loss.

“I was insecure, lost all my confidence and lacked the love inside me. I couldn’t bear to look at myself in the mirror because I didn’t recognize myself both physically and mentally. I completely lost myself and wasn’t sure who I am as a person anymore.

Going on to even receive hate messages from followers, she explained: “It affected my everyday life, my work and my relationships with friends and family. I felt like I had no control over my body, I lost interest in things I loved most and I found socializing impossible. I got messages on social media saying I’m too skinny, need to eat some burgers and unfollowed you because I’m uncomfortable looking at you, which was extremely triggering for me.

“I went to the hospital twice for an examination and for someone who is afraid of needles, I asked them to draw my blood and help me. When the doctors came back with my results, they reassured me that I was fine and that there was nothing physically wrong and that I was suffering from severe anxiety. I was lost, depressed and sick, but somehow I found the strength to work on myself. “I feel beautiful, confident and I love my body now more than ever. I never understood mental health until I experienced it myself and how important it is. I urge everyone to be kind because you never know what someone is going through, everyone has a story. Every cloud has a silver lining, I’m living proof of that’.

She stepped into the limelight after being crowned runner-up at Winter Love Island 2020 alongside ex-boyfriend Luke Trotman, narrowly losing to Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.

In May 2020, the couple decided to move into their own flat in London after both staying with Luke’s mum in Luton during lockdown.

But the couple split in November 2021 as they struggled to make the relationship work – with sources saying it’s been a “really tough” few weeks.
