- Two fishermen were missing
A second body has been found after two fishermen were reported missing in the Snowy Mountains earlier this week.
NSW Police were called to Lake Eucumbene, northwest of Cooma, about 11.15pm on Wednesday after reports two men were missing.
The men, both 73, had gone on a fishing trip near Adaminaby but when they failed to return home that night their worried families raised the alarm.
The search continues for a second fisherman still missing from Lake Eucambene.
Police, Marine Rescue, the State Emergency Service and Westpac Helicopter began searching the waterway and nearby bushland.
Hours later they found a man’s body.
On Sunday morning, authorities confirmed they had found the body of a second man at Eucumbene Dam.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
