Victor Wembanyama arrived at the Spurs’ Halloween match against the Suns in full costume as the rookie showed up at Phoenix’s Footprint Center dressed as “Slender Man.”

The fictional character is described by Know your meme as a “mythical creature often depicted as a tall, thin figure wearing a black suit and an expressionless face.”

And the 7-foot-1 Wembanyama followed that to the tee, donning a black suit and dress shoes and covering his face with gray spandex.

Given the Slender Man’s lanky stature, one fan joked that the French teenager was “dressing up as himself.”

Know Your Meme also says that the character can “extend or shorten his arms at will and has tentacle-like appendages extending from his back.”

Wembanyama may not quite have those attributes, but he does boast an incredible eight-foot wingspan – which has made him an instant star on defense.

In three games with the Spurs, he averaged 1.7 blocks and two steals per game.

He also grabbed 7.3 rebounds per contest.

Wembanyama, the first pick in this year’s NBA draft, made his long-awaited NBA debut last week in the Spurs’ loss to the Mavericks.

He scored 15 points in the contest and has scored in double figures in every game so far.
