A new Warzone 2 challenge is upon us – the DMZ Gauntlet. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming event.

Call of Duty has announced a brand new tournament centered around Warzone 2’s DMZ mode. The DMZ Gauntlet features a $30,000 prize pool and 16 teams compete to win their share of the money. What makes it even more exciting is that this is the first-ever DMZ tournament in Call of Duty.

According to an announcement made via Twitter on Jan. 12, the DMZ Gauntlet will see “16 Captains and their trios work their way through a variety of challenges in the DMZ, competing for their share of $30,000.”

The Warzone 2 DMZ Gauntlet begins on January 17, 2023, the event starts at 3:00 p.m. ET.

16 trio teams compete for a share of the $30,000 prize pool. At the time of writing, it is still unclear how the prize will be split among the winners.

At the time of writing, the participating teams have yet to be announced. In a tweet, fans were asked who they would like to see invited. Many streamers signed up to take part in the campaign.

@NotFabTV posted: “Yo @Triple_Gz1 and @DrLupo are we winning?” to which DrLupo replied, “Yes, yes, we are.”

CDL professional retired @Tommy said: “I would like to see all the big DMZ streamers as captains, that’s their mode and they deserve to be in a great tournament.”
