Styled by Bloom Paul Versace shares his Runaway The Label collection

The celebrity stylist reveals his five “essentials” for spring fashion – and the “rule of three” to ensure you look perfect every time

  • Paul Versace is the Australian stylist behind Styled by Bloom in Melbourne
  • His latest collaboration is a celebration of spring and trans-seasonal wear
  • FEMAIL spoke to Paul about what his “core” outfits would be for spring
  • As a rule, he always tries to integrate three colors into every outfit

The celebrity stylist behind the event looks of Olivia Molly Rogers and Tayla Damir has revealed his top tips for dressing for spring — and following the three color rule.

Paul Versace, 30, has just collaborated with Runaway The Label on a bold and bright collection of dresses, blazers and jumpsuits, pouring his expertise into the lines and tailoring of outfits to suit every woman.

“We were inspired to create a unique collection that could form a spring wardrobe capsule for the Runaway customer. Partnering with Paul allowed our design team to get first-hand feedback on key styles that Australian women want and need in their wardrobes,” said Runaway The Label founder Prem Patel.

The Melbourne pro became a full-time stylist in 2019 because he enjoyed putting together different looks and working in a fast-paced environment.

“I liked expressing my creative and unique vision with different clients and brands,” he told FEMAIL.

“This collection is fun, bright and bold… perfect for spring. I was drawn to the whole concept of mixing different prints and silhouettes together.

“The collection includes 36 versatile pieces. Each piece is inspired by my long-term clients and some of Australia’s most influential women of fashion.”

If he could only suggest five items to buy for spring, Paul would encourage his customers to choose an oversized blazer, waist-tie pants, a statement heel, essential basics and a day-to-night maxi dress.

“For someone who is really tall I would suggest a bold print or color in a longer silhouette, and for someone who is short I would suggest an outfit that accentuates their waist and legs. When styling my clients, I always recommend a mini dress,” he said.

“With that in mind, when styling a look, I try to mix and match no more than three colors, be it the prints, color blocking and accessories,” he said.

“When I’m trying to take an outfit to new heights, I always pair your outfit with accessories to elevate your look.”

On particularly chilly evenings, he recommends layering pieces like a crop top and blazer to ensure you stay warm.

Tying or knotting an oversized shirt to create a more appropriate size for your height is also an important “hack” that Paul likes to use.
