Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell face off in the R-rated untitled romantic comedy
Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have been tapped to star in a new romantic comedy from Sony Pictures.
The 25-year-old star, best known for his role as Cassie Howard in Euphoria, and the 34-year-old actor will portray love interests in the as-yet-untitled film, which will be directed by Will Gluck, Deadline says.
The R-rated film is based on a screenplay by Ilana Wolpert, which Gluck is currently rewriting.

Gluck will produce with Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum as part of his deal with Sony and his company Olive Bridge Entertainment.
The Everything Sucks actress will also executive produce for Fifty-Fifty Films, with Natalie Sellers and Alyssa Altman joining RK Films.
The deal was finalized in late 2022 and filming will begin in late February.
Sydney used her Instagram account on Wednesday to share the news with her 14.4million followers by posting a screenshot from the Deadline article.

“See you soon mate,” the bombshell captioned the image, alongside a winking emoticon tagging Glen, Will and Sony.
A busy year is next for the Spokane-born, Washington-born star as she has been signed on to several projects.
In 2023, the White Lotus star will appear in the Sony/Marvel film Madame Web, followed by The Registration and Barbarella.
She will also produce a television adaptation of The Players Table, based on the Jessica Goodman novel They Wish They Were Us.
As for Powell, the new film starring the blue-eyed beauty will mark his return to rom-coms after starring alongside Zoey Deutch in Set It Up.
Last year he starred in Top Gun: Maverick before working with Sony to executive produce Devotion.
He next stars in the universal sci-fi thriller Deputy X and will later work with Nick Jonas on Foreign Relations.
Gluck also has an exciting list for the foreseeable future, including an action comedy titled End of the World.
