Terrifying moment: A worker’s platform spins out of control and crashes into the windows of a skyscraper, sending huge shards of glass falling onto the streets hundreds of meters below in Dubai

A frightening video shows the moment a work platform spins out of control and crashes into the side of a Dubai skyscraper, shattering its windows and sending huge shards of glass crashing onto the street hundreds of meters below.

Footage shows workers dangling several hundred meters from the sides of their small cage in an aerial grip as it was thrown through the air when stormy weather suddenly arrived.

Strong winds blow the cradle, which hangs over the side of a towering glass skyscraper, out of control.

It spins and flies back and forth for meters, with the force of the impact on the building causing large parts of the side of the building to collapse.

You can hear shattering glass as the cradle hits it, bounces, and then smashes back into the building, causing more glass to fall to the ground.

The thrilling incident, which was filmed from another high-rise building, appears to be going on for some time as the passengers on board cling on for their lives.

One stands upright, clinging to the edges of the metal basket, while another person appears to be crouched, bracing for impact.

Tom Lewis, the Dubai-based TikToker who shared the shocking clip, captioned it, “Never ready for a storm in Dubai.”

In bad weather, loud gusts of wind can be heard blowing around the high-rise buildings.

The clip was filmed from a balcony, and the person filming it appeared to go back inside as the carnage continued to unfold.

It is not known how the incident ended and whether the workers managed to get out of the precarious situation safely.
