Brianna Lace Workman, 32, reportedly pushed the little girl onto the MAX platform at Gateway Transit Center in Portland on Thursday. It’s the latest shocking incident as crime rises in the Democratic stronghold.
The little girl, wearing a pink coat, was waiting in line with her mother when surveillance footage caught someone wearing a red hat, allegedly Workman, pinning her face first onto the metal rail.
Luckily, she was dragged back onto the platform by onlookers. She said she had a bad headache and the local district attorney said she had a red spot on her forehead.

Workman is listed as homeless according to court records and lives in Portland.
Prosecutors said the unprovoked attack happened when the woman came out of nowhere and pushed the child.
Workman was charged Thursday with attempted first- and third-degree assault, disrupting public transit, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
The Prosecutor’s Office has recommended that she remain in detention.
Her attorney said in a statement: “At Ms. Workman’s request, I am not seeking her release at this time, but I deny the state’s request for preventive detention.”
Wake’s Democratic Mayor, Ted Wheeler, has been blamed for the city’s skyrocketing crime rate. Portland set a homicide record in 2021.
Homelessness is rampant in Portland, where the mayor recently launched plans to build pickleball courts, a skate ramp and a bike lane in a location known for homeless camping.

The Liberals have been in power for four decades, but locals say they see change from rising crime, drug use and homelessness has left the city in tatters.
It nearly resulted in dependably blue Oregon electing a Republican governor, with Democrat Tina Kozek winning the November election by just four points over Republican Christine Drazen.
Homelessness and crime in Portland have exploded since the civil unrest sparked by the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
The streets are crowded with tent cities and littered with trash. The problem deters both locals and tourists.

In 2019, the city recorded just over 2,000 homeless people.
Less than three years later, that number has increased by 50 percent and now stands at over 3,000 people living on the streets.
The city says there are more than 700 camps in less than 150 square miles.
