Terrifying turbulence videos shared by airline passengers

Buckle up because you’re in for a bumpy ride.
TikTokers have shared clips from their spookiest plane trips, with turbulence causing a wave of chaos among passengers.
Some of the grittiest flight videos show food and drink flying through the plane, aisles and footwells littered with debris.
Monica Raygada filmed one such scene during a flight from Austin, Texas to Frankfurt, Germany on Lufthansa, and she said she “almost died” due to a series of violent air currents.

This clip shared by @skytleaa shows people holding on to the seats in front of them as they experience severe turbulence
As she reveals the trail of devastation left by the turbulence, with food trays and pieces of crockery thrown around, a male passenger is heard saying, “I thought you were losing control of the plane.”
In response, a female flyer says, “I think we fell in love a little bit.”
In an overlaid caption, Monica explains the chain of events: “We were having dinner every 1.5 hours into the flight and then suddenly we dropped out.
“It felt like we were in zero gravity for a while because I was watching everything fly in slow motion.
“After the first fall where everything was flying and everyone was screaming, everything came down and it seemed like we just kept falling.
“Everyone went dead quiet. We all thought that was it.”
Monica revealed she desperately started looking for her phone, which had fallen to the ground during the bumpy ride, as she was about to text her family “goodbye.”
After about 15 minutes, she said the crew could finally get up and check on casualties.
Then they were told that the plane would land in Washington DC. According to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, seven people were injured during the flight.

She concluded, “Thank goodness most of us had our seatbelts on because that could have ended a lot worse.”
TikToker @darkhorsetok uploaded a video from the same flight showing the contents of a red wine bottle spilling all over the floor along with a range of other items from pillows to napkins.
In another TikTok, Melbourne-based photographer Peter Yan reveals how he was hit by turbulence while flying Emirates in first class.
In the caption he simply explains: “It was terrifying.”
Footage shows his private cabin shaking violently and his glass of white wine sloshing around unsteadily.
Peter said in the comments section that the downside of turbulence in first grade was that he was alone and not with other people for comfort.

The footage was shot on a Delta flight from Santa Ana, California to Seattle, Washington, but had to be rerouted to Reno, Nevada due to turbulence.

Creator @jazzy63087 said she started recording video to show her son she’s in a cloud. But “then the turmoil started,” and she said she’s “never been so scared.”
Many commenters took a comical stance after seeing the crooked trolley, with @kirans007 quipping “Was that on Spirit Airlines?” while @capnobvivious wrote “Free drinks for everyone”.
To add a notch or two to the panic, a chaotic plane scene shared by @jsteelo04 shows a stewardess flying through the air along with a load of goods from an overhead locker as the plane shakes.
Meanwhile, a TikTok uploaded by @iamamlik captures people screaming while a passenger yells “We’re going down!” as the plane dives.
Commenting on the clip, @Borchy_j wrote, “Even the slightest bit of turbulence on an airplane fills me with panic… I’m sure if that happened to me I would have had a heart attack.”
But @bbyziza7 bucked the trend, writing: “Am I the only one who really likes turbulence?
“Airplane travel can be so boring, a bit of turbulence here and there makes it so exciting.”
