The 3 best Overwatch team comps in the current meta

With the end of the Mercy-focused meta in the Overwatch League, teams had to get creative with their team comps. From a tank-focused squad to ones that play well to a particular hero’s abilities, the possibilities are endless.

Here are three that we think are among the best you can use to crush your opposition.

At the core of this team comp is a skilled Zarya player who can harass the opposing team with high-energy beams and annihilate entire teams with a well-placed Graviton Surge.

The rest of the team will focus on heroes who can exploit enemies caught by the Graviton Surge. Genji’s Dragon Blade is a perfect combo with the Graviton Surge due to its AoE damage and fast speed. Reinhardt’s Earthshatter also combines well, as it stuns the team and makes them unable to even defend themselves once trapped in the Graviton.

The affectionately known “Slambulance” composition is probably the simplest. All you need is four players running around as Reinhardt, Zarya, Roadhog, and DV.a while the other two players choose Lúcio and Moira for their healing.

The entire strategy revolves around Lúcio’s speed getting the team to a goal, and Moira keeps everyone alive with healing spray while the tanks steamroll everything they come in contact with. This composition works very well to surprise the opponents, since once the Slambulance reaches the target, it is difficult to recover and everyone absorbs damage.

With Mercy no longer the obvious choice for healers, Lúcio and Ana begin their comeback. With Lúcio’s ability to speed boost and give the team a sound barrier, he can counter enemy ultimates and allow his teammates to reposition extremely quickly.

Adding flexibility to the team, Ana can stun a single target with a well-placed Sleep Dart. Once a target is asleep, it’s easy prey for your team. Not only that, the sheer potential of her Nanoboost is insane.

Teams with these two heroes are made up of heroes who can take advantage of high speed combined with the power of a nano boost. Heroes who work best up close, like Reaper or Reinhardt, will find great success from these healers.
